I find Persian woman really attractive. I have many friends who are Iranian going back to my childhood days. They are good people. There are many prominent Iranians in America, Rudi Bakhtiar, Catherine Bell, and Sarah Shahi.

Persians are Indo-Europeans like English, Spanish, and Russian. In fact I have heard Persian spoken and it sounds kinda like Spanish to me. Persian last names remind me of either Indian, Italian, or Dutch last names.

A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted a Missouri woman for her alleged role in perpetrating a MySpace online hoax on a 13-year-old neighbor girl who committed suicide.

Lori Drew of suburban St. Louis was charged with one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information to inflict emotional distress on the girl.

Drew allegedly helped create a false-identity MySpace account to contact Megan Meier, who thought she was chatting with a 16-year-old boy named “Josh Evans.”

Megan hanged herself at home in October 2006 after receiving cruel messages, including one stating the world would be better off without her.

This sad case has now federal implications. The most hated woman in America, Lori Drew, is now indicted by a grand jury in California. Everything that went wrong did go wrong in this case. A mixture of immaturity, envy, petty squabbles, and revenge came together in the worst shape and form. Lori Drew epitomizes all those.

Lori Drew did this because her daughter Sarah was not friends with Megan Meier. Seriously, why would a mother need to get this involved in their daughter’s life? If she just left it alone, than Sarah would be friends with Megan again. It is typical middle school life. We can all relate to that since we were all 13 at one point in our life.

Frankly, why would a parent get involved like this? A woman who was college educated, owned a once successful business, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. One would think she would not get involved in this. Perhaps she is immature and got her jollies bullying other people around. She had no business to be involved. Sometimes, I think there were things that could of drove Lori Drew to do this. Based on accounts I have read, she is described as an envious woman and had issues with the Meiers, especially the fact that they sent Megan to a private school.

Some of the charges I have issues with, especially the hacking aspect of it. However, the conspiracy charges are what I agree with. She did conspire to something illegal. Also, there could be the issue sexual crimes because she admitted that the messages were sexual in nature. In addition, there are stalking and harssment charges that were not included. Last time I checked it was illegal. They should of watched Dateline: To Catch A Predator With Chris Hansen.

The Internet is new technology, but it is no different from the street. Sure, you are anonymous, which is really a misnomer because IP addresses can be traced. Having a screen name on the Internet is like pseudonym on a book or radio show. This case will be very interesting to follow for the summer.

Also, anyone who blames the Meiers need to have their heads examined. They are just sick and bad as Lori Drew. They are wrong to even say that. It is like blaming the victim, you know like those morons who like to blame America for 9/11. Megan could of just went to the library or a friend’s house and accesses My Space there without her parents even knowing it. Anyways they are really a small minority and they will get thrown under the bus for it, which deserve rightfully so. In addition, a 13 year old girl is different from an adult, which you cannot compare the two. Also, they have nothing to back it up with, which shows they have no legs to stand on. I like to think of them as enablers of evil. They too should rot in Hell alongside with Lori Drew.

The ultimate outcome regardless of guilt or not is she will have to answer to God. God does not look too kindly to scum like her. Lori Drew will be in Hell for eternity. It will be her new home and she will get new neighbors like Joseph Stalin, 9/11 Hijackers, Countess Elizabeth Bathory, and all those evil people history has seen.

China quake death toll rises to nearly 10,000

CHENGDU, China (AP) - The death toll from a powerful earthquake that toppled buildings, schools and chemical plants climbed to nearly 10,000 in the worst-hit province Tuesday, while untold numbers remain trapped after the worst quake in three decades.

The 7.9-magnitude quake Monday devastated a region of small cities and towns set amid steep hills north of Sichuan’s provincial capital of Chengdu. Striking in mid-afternoon, it emptied office buildings across the country in Beijing, could be felt as far away as Vietnam and in Chengdu crashed telephone networks and hours later left parts of the city of 10 million in darkness.

The official Xinhua News Agency reported nearly 10,000 people died in central China’s Sichuan province alone and 216 others in three other provinces and the mega-city of Chongqing.

As things have gotten bad in Asia. Now, China got struck by a strong earthquake, which was felt throughout the nation and as far as Taiwan and Thailand. Also, disaster ridden Myanmar felt the earthquake as well. 10,000 people have died in this quake. Condolences to the Chinese people affected by this tragedy.

I have a bad feeling that something bad will happen in America, especially after the election year. I have noticed after a Presidential election, something major tends to happen the following year.

1997-El Nino and string of Muslim terrorist attacks in the Middle East, especially in Algeria.

Also, when the media follows something that is tripe and meaningless. They are scandalous in nature. In the summer of 2001, the media was reporting string of shark attacks and Chandra Levy. Well, sadly, she was found dead and the killer is yet to be found. This year has had more shark attacks reported than in 2001. In 2005, they were reporting about Natalee Holloway in Aruba. Sadly, she is still missing and likely dead. Before 1993, the media was so focused on Amy Fisher, the Long Island Lolita.

1929 was after the 1928 election and there was the stock market crash that year. It marked the start of the Great Depression. 1937 had the New London, Texas School Explosion and Hindenburg disaster. Pearl Harbor Invasion happened in 1941, which got America into World War II.

It could also be said that elections years have had many major events too.

The Great Galveston Hurricane if 1900 was in an election year. The Titanic disaster happened in 1912, which was also an election year. There were many upheavels in 1968, which marked a turbulent and wasted time period, the late 1960s to mid 1970s. 1976 had the deadliest earthquake in centuries in China, which claimed 250,000 lives.

The year before a Presidential elections has had major events too.

1939 was before the 1940 Presidential election year, which was the year World War II started. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas in 1963.

Well, anyways, disaster does not care for year. It can strike without warning and before you even realize it. Hurricanes on the other hand, can be predicted and warnings can be give in advance to evacuate people. Had the government of Myanmar had given warnings and orders to evacuate, less people would of died.

Lately you have heard the term online lynch mob or cyber vigilante in the Internet. Well, I have to tell you that the word lynch and vigilante is overused. Let us consult Webster Dictionary and see what those words mean.

lynch vt. to murder (an accused person) by mob action and without lawful trial, as by hanging.

By those definitions, online lynch mob and cyber vigilantes are a misnomer. Lynching is when a person is actually killed. While vigilantes use violence that could result in a person getting killed. Those people who react angrily and call for violence is considered threatening and bordering illegal, but that is technically not using violence. If there were to be lynching, someone would be seriously injured and/or killed.

If you want to see real lynching, you can go back to the past. Lynchings were a somewhat common sight in 19th and early 20th century America. Most people think Blacks were victims of lynch mobs. Well, they were targets of lynching a lot, but not the only one. Many Whites were lynched and in some counties, Whites being lynched outnumbered Blacks. Often the people who got lynched were criminals or people who were different, mostly Catholic, Jewish, or even alcoholics. The Ku Klux Klan of the 1920s used a lot of lynching on Whites and uppity White women who were seen as immoral.

Posting name, address, and phone number on a blog is intimidating, but it is not illegal because they are already public information, which one can find easily in the white page or county website. Okay, maybe in some states it is illegal, but that is just a few states we are talking about. People have the choice not to have their phone number listed on the white page.

The Megan Meier MySpace Suicide Hoax has raised the concern of online lynch mobs. I have to point out to those people who decry the lynch mob are very wrong. Those who are decrying it are contradicting themselves in many ways. By their thinking, they call Steve Pokin, who was the first to break the news in November an instigator and lynch mob leader. He was the one who brought attention about this case to the world. Well, he did not name the person for protection of the minor daughter. However, the name of the woman and daughter were revealed by a 20 year old Rhode Island blogger. From there, Lori Drew became the most hated person in America. CNN did not completely blank out the whole police report, which confirmed the identity of the hoax instigator. It even included the address of where the Drew family lives. So, do we call police and news media a lynch mob? Every police when they fill out a report, includes name and address of the person make the complaint. It is also in the public domain so anyone can obtain by request. There is something called freedom of the press in the First Amendment of the Constitution. The press has a right to report what is known. If you do not want to know, than just ignore it.

Another thing to point out, all those pranks and vandalisms on the Drews happened before Pokin even broke the news. Five of the six fake 911 calls directed at the Drews residence, brick being thrown at their window and paintball attacks. It could be perhaps unrelated and just a coincidence, since the vandals were never caught. Also, they did not get any death threats or hate mail from all over the world before Pokin broke it nationally. It was a just a case of rotten neighbors and community pariahs, which has exploded into a worldwide community. Now they have multiple entries at a blog called Rotten Neighbors and they have the most comments as of today. It is overwhelmingly against them, which is the case in many other blogs. It is unlikely the Drews will ever be on the Internet.

Lastly, had Lori Drew had been sorry and begged for forgiveness, should would not have been subjected to all the scorn she has been getting. This whole thing would of blown over rather quickly. She has only herself to blame for what she has brought on herself and family. Normally, I do not condone attacks against Lori Drew. However, I would have to quote what Jerry Seinfeld said, “Eh, that’s a shame.” It is her own doing for being the most hated person in America, which was is reserved for traitors, terrorists, and murderers. She has to owe up and take responsibility, not blame others. She joins an exclusive club call the Most Hated Club, which is made up people like Fred Phelps, David Cash, Michael Crook, John Walker Lindh, Madalyn Murray O’Hair, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, Robert Hansen, and OJ Simpson.

The situation in Burma has gotten worse. Now, 22,000 people are dead, with 41,000 missing. It is getting grimmers. Also, the death toll could be from 50,000 to has as high as 250,000. Horrible. To make matters worse, the ruling military junta gave no warning about it. It likely contributed to the high death toll. When I saw Nargis I had a bad feeling whereever it makes landfall, many people will be dead. Turns out my fear was right.

Indian Ocean is the least active place for tropical cyclones. However, when they make landfall, they kill a lot of people. In fact the deadliest tropical cyclones have happened in the Indian Ocean. It is due to storm surge, flat lands, and high population density. A deadly mix. Here is a list of deadliest tropical cyclones.

If the death toll is 50,000 it would be the 14th deadliest tropical cyclone on record. If it is 250,000 dead, it would be fourth deadliest on record. This is the worst disaster since the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami that claimed 300,000 lives. Terrible.

My prayers and thoughts are to the people of Myanmar. They have suffered a lot.

YANGON (Reuters) - Myanmar’s military junta believes at least 10,000 people died in a cyclone that ripped through the Irrawaddy delta, triggering a massive international aid response for the pariah state in southeast Asia.

“The basic message was that they believe the provisional death toll was about 10,000 with 3,000 missing,” a Yangon-based diplomat told Reuters in Bangkok, summarizing a briefing from Foreign Minister Nyan Win. “It’s a very serious toll.”

The scale of the disaster from Saturday’s devastating cyclone drew a rare acceptance of outside help from the diplomatically isolated generals, who spurned such approaches in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

The secretive military, which has ruled the former Burma for 46 years, has moved even further into the shadows in the last six months due to the widespread outrage at its bloody crackdown on protests led by Buddhist monks in September.

Hopefully this death toll is an overestimate. However I have a bad feeling it will get worse. I have been tracking Tropical Cyclone Nargis. I had a bad feeling about this one. It was a Category 3 when it made landfall. Same as what Hurricane Katrina made landfall as on the Gulf Coast. This is the deadliest tropical cyclone in this century and decade. It is deadlier than Sidr and deadliest since Katrina and Mitch in 1998.

It is going to be a very rough time for the people in Burma, coupled with the military junta. Perhaps this could be their downfall. Most of the death are from wind and storm surge. The area where Burma is, is very vulnerable to storm surge because of all the shallow water. Same goes with Bangladesh. In fact the area is like the Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast. A large area of shallow water also coupled with the shape of the land, which is funnel shaped.

Just a piece of cold steel

I am a gun. I was designed primarily as a weapon of defense. I have been reviled, hated, feared and declared unlawful.

Many have spoken out against me and have slandered my name and maligned my actions.

Yet, I am but a cold piece of steel - I have no will or volition. I cannot aim or cause harm to anyone.

While within me there lies awful potential, it requires an outside agency for it to come to completion.

I have never killed, murdered or maimed anyone intentionally. But I have been used by others to do all this and more.

It requires a man’s hand, a man’s hatred and a man’s will for the cold steel contained within me to become deadly. It requires a total disregard for a neighbor, friend, husband, wife or brother for my power and force to become deadly.

If you wish to stop senseless killings and violence, you must look beyond my slick finish and ergonomic design. You must look within the heart of a man darkened by hatred, prejudice and a lack of appreciation for others.

It is in that dark space where murder is conceived and where the resolve to perpetuate the madness for which I am blamed begins.

Every person should look deep within for any attitudes of intolerance toward others and underlying animosities which could generate these actions.

For as long as men are brothers with respect, appreciation and love for one another, I am but a piece of steel.

Well written. Guns don’t kill people. People kill people. People can kill people with other things, like cars, bombs, and airplanes.

It is hard to believe that one year ago today, 32 people were violently killed in Virginia Tech. Time flies really fast. It felt like yesterday. Two people died at the West Ambler Johnson dorm and 30 died at Norris Hall. By the time it was over, Seung-Hui Cho committed suicide. It is the deadliest mass shooting in American history. It is actually the second deadliest schoolyard massacre in America. Here is the list of top 5 deadly schoolyard massacres.

The massacre happened four days before Columbine anniversary, when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold attacked the high school and claimed 13 lives. They were suppose to destroy the school, but failed. It happened one day after the Oklahoma City Bombing and Branch Davidian anniversaries. Those two were related. It is possible that Columbine was related to those events. Sadly, more horrible anniversaries are coming up this week.

This week in April is marred by disasters and tragedies. TS Elliot said April is the cruelest month. Here are the list of events that occurred in the week of April 14th to 20th since the mid 19th century.
April 15, 1865-Abraham Lincoln is assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.
April 14-15, 1912-RMS Titanic strikes iceberg and sinks into the North Atlantic claiming 1,523 lives.
April 16, 1947-Ammonium nitrate in the French cargo ship, SS Grandcamp, explodes in Texas City claiming at least 600 lives.
April 16, 2007-Virginia Tech Massacre, in which 32 people are massacred.

April 19, 1993-Branch Davidian compound engulf in flames claiming 80 lives near Waco.

April 20, 1914-Ludlow Massacre, which claimed 45 lives in a Colorado mine.
April 20, 1999-Columbine High School Massacre claims 13 lives.

Also, April 15th is tax day. Of course, many well known events have happened in every month of the year. 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and Kennedy Assassination come to mind.
