Jan. 19, 2009President-elect Barack Obama billed his inauguration an event “for all Americans.” But in the nation’s capital this long weekend, wealthy visitors are finding themselves a bit more equal — and warmer — than others.
Most Americans here to see President-elect Obama make history crammed onto buses and trains, slept on floors and fought crowds and cold. But the wealthiest Americans coming to see the event are enjoying all the perks their money and power ever warranted.
For CEOs and stars arriving by private jet, local airports have shut down entire runways to serve as parking lots for their planes. Officials are prepared to handle hundreds of private aircraft for the long weekend.
So much for inclusion. Obama called for change didn’t he? I guess not, no? He wanted to delay the tranisition from analog to digital, which has already had been set for February 17, 2009, which I already did.

Looks like the digital conversion could be delayed from February 17 to June 12. Well, I am long ready for the tranisition to digital. They were suppose to do it in 2006, but delayed it again. 6.5 million people are not ready. It could that some do not have TV, while some are at their vacation homes. If they do delay it, they could delay it again and they may as well not go digital. Well, I don’t watch much TV, save 24 and King of the Hill and I am ready for it. Digital signals are too weak and prone to interference. They should of made the deadline around Super Bowl because many go out and buy a TV set for it and it would be a good time to stimulate the economy. Also, there are contract issues among TV stations, telecommunication companies purchased the analog spectrum for their cell phone services, and first responders are going to that spectrum as well.
